Chillul HaShem – an action that could cause non-Jews to critisize the Jewish people.
Kavanah – intention, concentration. While davening one should try to daven with intense kavanah.
Marit Ayin – an example could be eating (in public) a vege-cheesburger with soy-”bacon”. It’s kosher, but people could have the wrong impression. I was recently in a kosher diner and a group of teenage boys complained because one of them didn’t receive their bacon. Being teenagers they were loud. I quickly leafed through my menu to make sure that “bacon” was indeed on the menu. [devorah's definition]
